Fragile Signals
Fragile Signals

«From a remote resistance outpost, a radio technician scans the spectrum, searching for transmissions outside the echo chambers of enforced consensus.
Tasked with recovering what was drowned, he tunes into fragile signals, capturing what the system was designed to suppress.»

We increasingly live inside self-repeating patterns that reinforce what we already think: loud, simple messages grow stronger while slower, complex, or uncomfortable stories fade from view. This performance tries to notice and interrupt these loops so that painful, very quiet, or expectation-defying voices become perceptible.
Using a vintage stereo system with a sensitive antenna, the performer captures fragile signals and feeds them back into the system on cassette, continuously retuning and destabilising it until tones fracture, noise overtakes clarity, and fleeting details surface—an exercise in unlearning agreement by listening beyond comfort and habit.
